The curator Liberty Adrien is pleased to present the exhibition “Corps (in)visibles” by the Franco-Egyptian artist Hoda Tawakol at the new contemporary art space LES VITRINES of the Institut français Berlin. While her hand-dyed, colourful and intimately sewn textile sculptures clearly signpost questions of women’s labour, Hoda Tawakol also interrogates the wider yet more insidious forces (social, biological, cultural) impacting the female body. For the 24-meter-long windows, Hoda Tawakol has created a unique watercolour mural and a series of textile works.
