In her Dilution series, the prominent shades of pink reveal a skin like quality associated with the artist’s use of fabric as a means to reveal and conceal the body. Here, her use of watercolour and ink express formal attitudes towards tactility and three dimensional sculpture through the exploration and investigation of new aspects within each circle or oval in which these gestural movements with associated diluted colours create spontaneous visual results.
Qualities of femininity, strength and the body are presented through these abstract forms that may seem very simple yet they express a certain sensation associated with the seeping and melting ink lines merging in with watercolours creating endless details for the eye to discover.
