Collège des Bernardins, Paris
4 October - 10 November 2018
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the Collège des Bernardins, Paris, Abdelkader Benchamma will transform the entire nave of the building into an immersive wall drawing installation. Both powerful and poetic in its formal execution, the artist's attempts to disrupt visceral perception of space and time. Co-aligned with his exhibition, Benchamma will participate in Nuit Blanche 2018 in Paris, an annual all-night arts festival taking place on 6th October. This year's edition thematically inspired by the research of George Lemaître, a priest astronomer and physicist who was one of the first men to have thought of the expansion of the universe. Benchamma's contribution, alongside Melik Ohanian, have been invited to realise a vast installation specifically for the floor of the nave of the Collège des Bernardins.
