Manal AlDowayan invites visitors to stencil the words 'I Am Here'. By stenciling over others' own declarations of presence, the visitor is at once eraser and erased: her individualism disappears. Emblematic of the artist's deep engagement with collective participatory works, the vast palimpsest tests the tensions between individualism and collectivism.
