Silent voices in a Palm Grove is the first solo institutional exhibition of Hoda Tawakol in Germany at Dortmunder Kunstverein, curated by Rebekka Seubert.
Tawakol's works plunge viewers into a world between sensuality and brutality and deal with questions about body and identity. They refer to the culture and traditions of the North African region, to hybrid states, the ambiguity of language and symbols and create an awareness of the visual relationships between people as well as between people and objects or people and works of art.
Opening: Friday, 24 March 2023, 7 pm
25th March - 11th June, 2023
